Annual Salary: 6 million yen or higher

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Bilingual Interpreter to facilitate effective communication between our Japanese users/clients and the US team. This role requires a high level of language proficiency, cultural sensitivity, and experience in business communication. The ideal candidate will have experience in telecom-related interpretation, although this is a plus and not mandatory.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret meetings, discussions, and presentations between Japanese and English-speaking participants to ensure clear and accurate communication.
• Assist in coordinating meetings and communication schedules between Japanese users/clients and the US team.
• Provide real-time interpretation during video calls, conference calls, and in-person meetings as required.
• Translate relevant documents, emails, and other materials between Japanese and English as needed.
• Support the US team in understanding cultural nuances and preferences of Japanese clients to improve relationship management.
• Offer additional language support and interpretation services for other tasks, as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Fluency in both Japanese and English, with excellent oral and written communication skills in both languages.
• Prior experience in interpretation, especially in business settings; telecom experience is an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in multicultural environments.
• Detail-oriented, with excellent listening skills and the ability to accurately interpret and convey complex ideas.
• Flexibility to work across time zones to accommodate meetings between Japanese and US teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience or knowledge in the telecommunications industry.
• Previous experience as a bilingual interpreter in a corporate setting.
