Job Description
- Define MDG target architecture and governance operating model for retail master data
- Cover key domains including Business Partner, Article, Site, and Finance master data
- Design governance workflows, validations, approvals, and role models
- Lead integration and replication strategy across S/4HANA and retail systems
- Drive data quality, cleansing, harmonization, and migration readiness
- Ensure auditability, traceability, and compliance by design
- Provide solution leadership across design, build, test, and handover
Job Qualifications & Experience
- 8–12+ years of experience in master data architecture, data governance, or SAP MDG roles
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP MDG on S/4HANA
- Deep understanding of retail master data domains and dependencies across retail systems
- Proven experience designing governance workflows, validations, and operating models
- Experience leading master data migration and data quality initiatives in large programs
Preferred Skills
- Experience with complex retail system landscapes (POS, OMS, eCommerce, analytics platforms)
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and compliance requirements
- Experience working in large, multi-vendor or SI-led transformation programs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data integrity and control
Language & Communication Skills:
- Native-level fluency in Japanese and English is good to have
- Strong ability to engage business stakeholders and translate policy into system design
