Application Solution Architect

Job Description

• Play a key role in leading global architecture strategy across Japan and international teams, covering both AWS cloud and on-premise environments
• Drive enterprise-wide optimization and digital transformation by collaborating with cross-domain stakeholders (business, data, applications, infrastructure)
• Operate in a bilingual global environment, owning architecture roadmaps and strengthening leadership and enterprise architect influence

Annual Salary: 15 million yen and above

Responsibilities:

• As a core member leading the architecture in Japan and globally, you will work closely with the following colleagues:
• Global architecture teams, including Japan and the US
• Architects in each domain (e.g., Business, Data, Applications/Solutions, Technology/Infrastructure, Security)
• Business stakeholders in Japan (e.g., Business Users, Application Owners, CIOs, Business Executives, Application Development Teams, Infrastructure Product Teams, Project Teams)
• Related organizations within the group (e.g., US/Global BUs, CTO (Chief Technology Office, Infrastructure Team) / CDO (Chief Data Office, Data Team))

Job Qualifications:

• Architectural experience in both cloud (AWS) and on-premises environments
• Experience in proactively participating in the planning and roadmap creation of consistent application solution architecture strategies across different countries in a global company.
• Business-level communication skills in Japanese and English (conversational level in each language for facilitation, discussion, negotiation, and consensus building) and the ability to create documents for use in formal meetings - assuming that translation tools and interpreting services are available in-house and will be utilised for communication)
• Experience in leading and implementing optimization across specific business areas (e.g., sales, product development, marketing, etc.)
• Experience leading departments or teams as a line manager
• Experience throughout the application development process (requirements definition, design, development, testing, release, operation) in either a cloud (AWS) or on-premises environment
• Experience leading and implementing optimization across company-wide applications
• Experience managing application development projects in either a cloud (AWS) or on-premises environment

Japanese Language: Japanese (Native or fluent level), Business level English.
