MES technical Consultant

Job Description

Annual Salary : 8 million yen and above

Job Responsibilities:

• Architecture & Design
• Design and document the overall technical architecture of MES (including system integration, infrastructure, and application layers).
• Create solution design drawings and architecture diagrams for MES implementation and upgrades.
• Define, implement, and integrate standards, frameworks, and governance for MES solution design and configuration.
• Leading the technical design and implementation of MES solutions (e.g., Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell FactoryTalk, Critical Manufacturing, Apriso, Ignition)
• Integrate MES with ERP (SAP, Oracle, etc.), Historian, PLC/SCADA systems, LIMS, and other enterprise systems.
• Ensure appropriate data modeling, system interfaces, and communication protocols (OPC, MQTT, Web services, etc.).
• Technology leadership
• We provide technical leadership and guidance to MES developers, engineers, and system integrators.
• Review the technical deliverables and verify compliance with defined architectural principles.
• Support and guide project teams in troubleshooting and optimizing MES performance.
• Define and manage the MES integrated environment (API, OPC UA/DA, message broker, middleware).

Job Qualification:

• Over 8 years of experience in MES implementation (including over 3 years in a technical architect or lead role).
• Practical experience with MES platforms such as Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell, Critical Manufacturing MES, Dassault Apriso, and AVEVA MES.
• Track record in integrating MES, ERP, SCADA, and factory control systems.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes (discrete, batch, continuous)

Prefered:

• Experience in the automotive, aerospace, or discrete manufacturing industry
• Experience implementing E2E MES as a solution

Language Proficiency: Fluent level Japanese(N1)  and Business-level English
