Power BI Subject Matter Expert

Job Description

Appealing Points:

• Own and Stabilize Business-Critical Power BI Reporting Take the lead as a Power BI SME, developing, optimizing, and maintaining dashboards that support critical healthcare business reporting and analytics.
• Work Hands-On with the Microsoft Analytics Ecosystem Design data models, create DAX measures, and manage datasets using Power BI, Excel, Microsoft 365, and SharePoint, ensuring accurate and scalable reporting.
• Collaborate Directly with Business Stakeholders in a Bilingual Environment Work closely with Japanese and global teams to understand reporting needs, troubleshoot issues, and deliver reliable insights while acting as the primary reporting support expert.

Annual Salary: 5 million Yen and above

Job Responsibilities: 

Power BI Development & Maintenance

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
• Optimize existing reports for performance, scalability, and usability
• Translate business reporting needs into effective Power BI solutions

Data & Analytics

• Work with existing raw data sources to build and manage datasets
• Design and maintain data models, DAX measures, and calculations
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliable refresh schedules

Operational Support

• Act as the primary IT / analytics support resource for reporting
• Troubleshoot Power BI, data refresh, and access issues
• Reduce dependency on business users for report creation and fixes

Business Collaboration

• Work closely with non‑technical stakeholders to understand requirements
• Provide documentation and light enablement for report consumers
• Support ongoing and ad‑hoc reporting needs

Technology Stack

• Microsoft ecosystem only: Power BI, Excel, Microsoft 365, SharePoint
• Leverage Microsoft Copilot where applicable

Job Qualifications:

• Strong hands‑on experience as a Power BI Developer / SME
• Expertise in Power BI, DAX, data modeling, and report optimization
• Experience supporting business / operational reporting environments
• Ability to work independently with minimal IT oversight
• Strong Japanese and English language communication and stakeholder‑management skills

Preferable:

• Exposure to Power Platform (Power Automate / Power Apps)
• Experience working close to business teams (onsite / hybrid models)
• Background in training, healthcare, or regulated environments

Language Proficiency: Business level Japanese(JLPT N2), Business Level English
