Bilingual Onsite Bridge Software Engineer

Job Description

Appealing Points:

• Work on Advanced Semiconductor Equipment Control Software Develop and test Linux-based C/C++ systems aligned with industry standards such as SECS/GEM and EDA.
• On-site Bridge Engineer Role with Japanese Clients Act as a key coordinator between clients and offshore teams, ensuring requirement clarity and delivery alignment.
• End-to-End SDLC Ownership with Strong Quality Focus Handle requirement analysis, technical reviews, QA support, and risk reporting to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions.

Annual Salary: 6.3 Million yen and above

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and test software systems using the customer’s software frameworks and tools from the customer site
• Play onsite Bridge Engineer role and the coordinator role for software development
• Creating alignment between the team and client to help unblock issues that impede the team’s performance
• Building and nurturing relationships with our clients in Japan
• Capture requirements, analyze requirements 
• Clarify queries from offshore in consultation with the customer
• Perform reviews of offshore work products and ensure their quality
• Deliver quality work products within the schedule
• Report progress, risks and problems to the customer as required
• Support the customer in QA testing

Job Qualifications:

• Over 5+ Years of experience in developing software for the Linux Operating System
• Experience in programming with C or C++
• Experience in Software Development Life Cycle
• Excellent problem analyzing skills and documentation skills
• Strong communication & collaboration skills to integrate well into our highly collaborative environment
• Experience in version control systems like git, svn
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing domain
• Experience SEMI conductor industry standards like SECS/GEM, EDA
• Experience in Equipment (Machine) control software development
• Knowledge in Socket programming, Multi-threading, Inter Process Communication (IPC)
• Experience in shell scripting (Shell/Bash)

Language Skill: Fluent Japanese (JLPT N1) and Business English level.
