Job Description:

• We are seeking an experienced Coupa Technical Architect with strong implementation expertise to lead end‑to‑end Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) solution design and integrations within a global enterprise environment.
• The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of overall experience, including substantial hands-on work in Coupa platform architecture, integrations, solution governance, and complex enterprise rollouts.
• This is a senior managerial role requiring the ability to translate business strategy into scalable Coupa solutions, lead technical teams, drive best practices, and ensure successful deployment across multiple business units.
• The candidate should bring deep technical expertise, strong stakeholder communication, and the ability to guide cross-functional teams through the entire implementation lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end technical architecture of Coupa implementations across P2P, Sourcing, Invoicing, Contracts, and Expenses.
• Define scalable, secure, and compliant Coupa solution blueprints, aligned with enterprise architecture and global business processes.
• Own and validate integration strategy with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday, etc.), middleware, and third‑party applications.
• Provide design authority for workflows, data models, approval chains, supplier enablement, and configuration elements.
• Drive overall technical delivery across multiple Coupa modules and workstreams.
• Collaborate with business and functional leads to gather requirements and convert them into detailed technical specifications.
• Review technical builds, configuration, enhancements, and extensions to ensure alignment with best practices.
• Manage and guide vendor teams, offshore teams, and internal development groups.
• Architect end‑to‑end integrations using Coupa APIs, cXML, SFTP, Web Services and middleware tools like Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, or Informatica.
• Oversee data migration strategy, mapping, extraction, validation, and reconciliation.
• Ensure automation, error-handling, and monitoring frameworks are implemented effectively.
• Interface with senior stakeholders to provide architectural guidance, roadmap planning, and strategic recommendations.

Job Qualification:

• 10+ years of in-depth hands-on experience in Coupa (minimum 2–3 full-cycle implementations).
• Strong understanding of Coupa modules: P2P, Sourcing, Contracts, Invoicing, Expenses, Supplier Portal.
• Expertise in Coupa integrations: REST APIs, cXML, flat-file integrations, SFTP, middleware platforms.
• Strong command over ERP integration flows (SAP/Oracle/Workday).
• Understanding of procurement processes, supplier networks, master data, and financial controls.
• Proficiency in workflow design, custom fields, approval chains, and configuration logic.
• Ability to design enterprise-level procurement and spend management architectures.

Nice to have skills :

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities for large-scale global deployments.
• Experience leading multi‑module, multi‑geography implementations.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.
• Coupa Platform or Module Certifications (P2P, Sourcing, CLM, Invoicing).
• PMP Certification is a plus

Language Skills: Fluent level Japanese (JLPT N1) and Business level English
