Job Description:

  • We are seeking a highly organized, bilingual (Japanese-English) Project Coordinator to support our project delivery teams in managing client engagements with Japanese customers. The ideal candidate will be part our local team in Tokyo, who act as the key bridge between Japanese clients and Project Team (local & global) teams, ensuring smooth communication, coordination, and follow-up throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as the liaison between customers and the project delivery team, facilitating smooth project planning discussions.
  • Coordinate project dependencies and activities across multiple internal project teams.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager, Architects, translators, and interpreters to schedule meetings and align agendas across time zones.
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts and ensure meetings run efficiently for English-speaking team members and Japanese customer teams.
  • Track action items from meetings and follow up with internal teams, including technical consultants, to address customer queries.
  • Manage communication channels, including email and Slack groups, to ensure timely and clear coordination among project teams and stakeholders.
  • Maintain and organize project document repositories, including resolving translation quality issues.
  • Support project reporting and provide basic analysis to assist project managers in tracking project status.

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Native-level Japanese speaker with strong English proficiency (both written and spoken).
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in bilingual, customer-facing roles, preferably with Japanese clients and Global Technology teams.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills, with the ability to manage cross-cultural teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for document preparation, reporting, and scheduling.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (Microsoft Project, Jira,), document management systems, and team communication platforms (e.g., Slack).
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and follow up on pending actions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Software / Technology projects,
  • Knowledge on Mobile or Telecommunication Industry
  • Knowledge of project lifecycle management and stakeholder communication practices.
  • Problem-solving mindset and strong attention to detail.

Janguage profficiency : Native level japanese (N) and Business level English.
