Job Description

- Specialized Role in Insurance-Focused Data Architecture & Strategy Utilize your deep understanding of the insurance domain to architect advanced data platforms using technologies like Azure Synapse, Hadoop, and CosmosDB.
- Lead Cross-Functional Teams and Own End-to-End Delivery Drive complex data projects by overseeing project planning, budget, quality, and guiding BSA teams through leadership, mentorship, and process ownership.

Annual Salary: 12 million yen and above
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze business requirements, create proper data solutions that meets functional and non-functional requirements
- Participate in the design of data architecture, data structure, data modeling, data transformation, storage, security model of data platform (both Hadoop and Azure Data platform)
- Guide System Analysts, Engineers, Programmers and others on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces
- Discover metadata of the source database and analyze existing business systems, including value patterns and distributions, key candidates, foreign-key candidates, data flows, and functional dependencies
- Interfaces with internal/external teams and functions to provide business solutions to meet business requirements
- Manage and control quality of BSA deliverables
- Define the methodology, project plan, resource demands, budget estimation for data solutions.
- Manages working relationships with business and IT to ensure that the solutions are developed, managed and completed on schedule.
- Coordinates technical studies and evaluation of business needs and technological alternatives with both IT and business managers
- Provides oversight of audits and other compliance requests
- Directs, motivates and develops project staff.
- Identifies and addresses training and development needs of BSA teams
- Performs other duties as assigned or required
Job Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 10 years of experience as Business Systems Analysts or similar role in Insurance industry
- Demonstrated good leadership, strong project management skills
Skills:
- Strong data/system analytics skills using various coding language
- Good knowledge and experience in Azure Synapse, Azure CosmosDB, Azure Function Apps, Azure ServiceBus, ADLS, Oracle, MS SQL Server, Linux, Hadoop, HDFS, HBase, Solr
- Understanding of scala/spark and related big data processing framework and tools
- Experience of PowerBI, QlikSense and other BI tools
- Proficient in SQL, data types, data structures, data modeling
- Good understanding of insurance industry,
- Good problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Preferable:
- Understanding of REST API, ETL, Salesforce, stream data processing, Change Data Capture, and popular BI tools is preferred
- Understanding of Data Quality, Data Governance, Data Lineage, Master Data Management is preferred
- Experience of people management is preferred
Language Requirements: Fluent level Japanese & Business English conversation skill.
