Position Name: Sr Modern Workplace Engineer Tokyo Job
Annual Salary: 6 million yen or higher
Responsibilities:
The Sr. Modern Workplace Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of client site and end-user migrations. In this role the engineer will assist the migration team with re-imaging end-user laptops using the standard process, troubleshooting and resolving issues during the migration. This role will be required to deliver a stable working workplace for all remote and in office employees. The role includes file share mapping, application downloads and configuration, network connectivity and performance improvements.
Sr Modern Workplace Engineer Tokyo Job Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Intune / Autopilot
- Knowledge of windows reset
- Application downloads > recognize if something is blocked (Zscaler knowledge / or know how it works)
- Macro’s knowledge
- Migrate user profiles, data, and settings to the new IT environment.
- Ensure data integrity and security during the migration process.
- Test and validate migrated data to identify and resolve any issues.
- Create and configure user accounts in the new IT environment.
- Assign appropriate permissions and access rights.
- Ensure seamless access to resources and applications
- Provide training and support to end-users during and after the migration process.
- Assist users with any issues or questions related to the new environment.
- Develop and maintain user documentation and knowledge base articles.
- Monitor the new environment for any issues or problems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any migration-related issues.
- Provide ongoing support to end-users.
- Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks
- Experience with end-user migration tools and techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other productivity tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to effectively communicate and instill confidence with peers and all key stakeholders.
- Effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources may not be in direct control of this role.
- Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills.
- Strong business acumen, including industry, domain-specific knowledge of the enterprise and its business units
- Expertise in budget planning and financial management
- Deep understanding of current and emerging technologies and how other enterprises are employing them to drive digital business and how they may be applied to the enterprise to drive digital business
- Ability to manage geographically diverse teams and overcome the culture clashes that may arise
- Ability to drive organizational change and build capabilities that effectively balance the needs for continuously exploiting capabilities to optimize operational efficiency, with delivering innovative and agile IT solutions to enable the business to explore digital business opportunities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to business leaders, and business concepts to the IT workforce
