JDE Manufacturing Consultant

Job Description

Appealing Points:

• Work on end-to-end JD Edwards Manufacturing implementations from business analysis and configuration to go-live support.
• Leverage deep manufacturing ERP expertise to drive process improvements across production, inventory, and supply chain operations.

Annual Salary: 10 million yen and above

Job Responsibilities:

• Engage with business users to understand manufacturing processes (Discrete/Process Manufacturing).
• Perform Fit-Gap analysis and define To-Be processes aligned to JDE capabilities.
• Prepare Functional Specification Documents (FSD) and support Technical Specification Documents (TSD) for customizations.
• Configure JDE Manufacturing modules including:
  • Shop Floor Management
  • Work Orders
  • Bill of Material (BOM)
  • Routing
  • MRP / DRP
• Implement standard JDE processes and align with global templates where applicable.
• Define roles, security, and operational workflows within the JDE environment.
• Identify and design required customizations (FRICE components).
• Support development teams for interfaces with third-party systems and integration with ERP/legacy applications.
• Ensure seamless data flow across systems.
• Develop and execute test scenarios including CRP, ICRP, and UAT.
• Support defect resolution and business validation.
• Assist in end-to-end testing of integrations and processes.
• Support identification of data objects and migration requirements.
• Validate migrated data for accuracy and completeness.
• Participate in cutover planning and execution for go-live.
• Prepare functional design documents, process flows, and training manuals.
• Conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions and support end users.
• Provide hypercare support post-deployment.
• Troubleshoot issues and stabilize system operations.
• Support continuous improvements and optimization.

Job Qualifications:

• Strong expertise in JDE Manufacturing modules.
• Deep understanding of:
  • Production Planning
  • Inventory & Supply Chain Integration
  • Shop Floor Execution
• Exposure to JDE integration (BSSV, Orchestrator, APIs).
• Exposure to reporting tools (BI Publisher, One View Reporting).
• Good understanding of JDE architecture and table structures.
• Experience in end-to-end JDE implementation lifecycle:
  • Blueprint
  • Build
  • Test
  • Deploy
  • Support
• Experience in migration, rollout, or cloud transformation projects.
• Ability to handle multi-country implementations.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to lead workshops and drive decisions.
• Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Experience working in global delivery models.
• Oracle JD Edwards certification (Manufacturing/Functional) preferred.
• Experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Process industries preferred.
• Exposure to digital initiatives such as RPA, AI, and automation in JDE preferred.
• 8–15+ years of ERP experience.
• Multiple JDE implementation, rollout, upgrade, and support projects.

Languages: Fluent level Japanese and Conversional level English
