Job Description:

• The Senior Technical Manager will play a pivotal role in the initial phases of new development projects. This individual will be responsible for understanding customer requirements and use cases, preparing proposals and estimations in collaboration with offshore teams, and delving into the technical intricacies of each project. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical acumen, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The primary work location will be Japan office at Tokyo.  But in case of any travel demands it is necessary to travel inside Japan and work with clients during project initial phases.

Job Responsibilities:

• Project Scoping & Proposal: Collaborate with offshore delivery teams to prepare comprehensive project proposals, technical specifications, and effort estimations.
• Technical Leadership: Understand and articulate the technical details of projects, ensuring alignment between customer expectations and delivery capabilities.
• Coordination & Communication: Act as a primary liaison between the customer and the offshore development teams, facilitating seamless communication and project execution.
• Seed Member Contribution: Contribute significantly as a foundational member of new development initiatives, influencing project direction and technical strategy.
• Customer Focus: Work closely with customers on-site to extract requirements, understand complex use cases, and define project scopes for greenfield developments.
• Technical Value Creation: Identify technical pain points during customer interactions and propose value-added services or innovative solutions

Job Qualification:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in software development / technical project management
• Experience in any of the programming language, Cloud, AI and Web based technologies
• Strong experience in:
  • Client-facing roles
  • Requirement analysis and solution design
  • Managing distributed/offshore teams
• Ability to understand and discuss technical architectures and system design
• Must have expertise in any of the following areas in medical software development
  • PACS
  • Medical image viewer
  • Modality Software
• Should have understanding about anu of the standards like DICOM, IHE, FHIR etc
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proven experience in a technical management or lead role within software development.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycles and project management methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment.
• Previous experience in Medical Device Development (ISO 13485, IEC 62304) is a significant advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Industry Expertise: Understanding of product engineering development in various areas, previous experience in Medical Device Development (ISO 13485, IEC 62304) is a significant advantage.
• Global Delivery: Experience working with Indian offshore delivery models.

Langauge Profficiency: Business level profficiency(JLPT N2 and above) and business level English
