Job Description:
- The English–Japanese Interpreter/Translator supports both verbal and written communication between English- and Japanese-speaking stakeholders. This role ensures accurate interpretation and translation while preserving intent, tone, and cultural nuances in business and IT service environments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide English ↔ Japanese interpretation during meetings, technical discussions, and customer interactions.
- Translate business and technical documents, emails, and reports with high accuracy.
- Ensure consistency in terminology across interpretation and translation tasks.
- Prepare for sessions by reviewing relevant materials and context.
- Support bilingual communication in remote and on-site engagements.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Job Qualification:
- Experience in interpretation and translation (English ↔ Japanese), preferably in IT or manufacturing.
- Native-level Japanese and near-native English proficiency (spoken and written).
- Strong communication, comprehension, and writing skills.
- Attention to detail and cultural awareness.
- MS Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) usage skill
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interpretation/translation certification (e.g., NAATI, JTF).
- Experience with CAT tools and remote platforms (e.g., Teams).
- Knowledge of ITIL, Agile, or similar frameworks
Language Proficiency: Native level Japanese N and Business-level English.
