Job Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their queries, and ensuring high customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead end to end delivery, managing Application outsourcing and Managed Services engagement for Insurance (Life & Annuity) clients.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal as well as written), team leadership abilities, with demonstrated success in managing diverse engineering teams.
- Familiarity with Japanese Insurance market/domain, particularly Annuity products, is a plus.
- Technical Expertise: Experience with Micro Focus tools and COBOL, JCL, DB2 for UDB
Job Qualification:
- Minimum 15-18 years of industry experience in software engineering, with at least 7+ years in managerial roles overseeing teams and projects.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese is mandatory.
- Experience leading end to end delivery, meeting account objectives, managing Application outsourcing, Managed Services engagement for large Insurance (Life & Annuity) clients.
- Manages business development, identifies and develops new opportunities
- Manages project financials
- Proven ability to lead and deliver large-scale software development projects, with a track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams.
Basic Qualifications:
- Leadership Skills: Strong communication skills (verbal as well as written), collaboration, and team leadership abilities, with demonstrated success in managing diverse engineering teams.
- Project Management: Expertise in managing software projects, including resource planning, timeline tracking, and risk mitigation.
- Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of Japanese Insurance market/domain, particularly Annuity products.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as LOMA, PMP, Scrum Master, or technical certifications are highly desirable.
- Estimation and Planning: Drive accurate project estimations, including effort, timeline, and resource planning, ensuring realistic project commitments and on-time delivery.
Technical Expertise:
- Hands-on Experience with Micro Focus tools and COBOL, JCL, DB2 for UDB
- Strong programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Product Knowledge: Experience with Vantage and wmA products is a significant advantage.
- Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to maintain high standards of code quality, design, and technical excellence.
