Job Description

Annual Salary: 5 Million Yen and above

Job Responsibilities:

• Power BI Report and Dashboard Development
  • Build interactive Power BI reports and dashboards based on business and technical requirements.
  • Translate user requirements into clear data models, report layouts, visualizations, KPIs, and analytical views.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Power BI datasets, reports, dashboards, and workspaces.
  • Develop DAX measures, calculated columns, and reusable metrics to support business reporting needs.
• Data Modeling, Integration, and Quality
  • Connect Power BI to relevant data sources and support data extraction, transformation, and preparation using Power Query / M and SQL as required.
  • Create and optimize data models, relationships, hierarchies, measures, and calculated fields.
  • Validate data quality, accuracy, consistency, and completeness before report release.
• Stakeholder Collaboration and Delivery
  • Collaborate with client DX Team in the UK and Japan-side stakeholders to clarify requirements and validate deliverables.
  • Participate in requirement discussions, design reviews, demo sessions, UAT support, and status updates.
  • Prepare technical documentation, report specifications, data mapping notes, and knowledge transfer materials.
• Support, Maintenance, and Optimization
  • Troubleshoot report performance issues, visualization errors, DAX calculation issues, and data discrepancy cases.
  • Optimize Power BI reports, datasets, DAX formulas, and data models for better performance and usability.
  • Support enhancements, change requests, production issues, and ongoing report maintenance activities.

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Power BI development, BI reporting, dashboard development, or data analytics solution delivery.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query / M, data modeling, data transformation, and report optimization.
• Good SQL skills and experience working with relational databases or enterprise data sources.
• Experience building dashboards, operational reports, KPI reports, management reports, and executive-level analytical views.
• Understanding of BI lifecycle activities including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with distributed teams across Japan and the UK.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics to business users clearly.
• Good analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• High attention to detail, especially for data accuracy and dashboard usability.
• Ability to manage priorities, work independently, and deliver within agreed timelines.
• Professional attitude in a customer-facing or stakeholder-facing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of pharmaceutical, life sciences, or pharma commercial business processes.
• Experience working with pharma commercial datasets, sales analytics, marketing analytics, customer engagement analytics, or related reporting areas.
• Power BI Fabric / Microsoft Fabric experience as a nice-to-have skill, including exposure to Fabric Lakehouse, OneLake, Data Factory pipelines, Data Warehouse, Direct Lake mode, and Power BI integration.
• Experience with Power BI governance, deployment pipelines, row-level security, workspace management, and report access management.
• Microsoft certifications such as PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst or relevant Azure / Fabric certifications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Relevant Microsoft certification in Power BI, Fabric, Azure Data, or Power Platform is preferred but not mandatory.

Langauge Required: Business level Japanese (JLPT N2) and Business level English proficiency
