Job Responsibility:
- Own end-to-end L2/L3 operations for Subscriber and Signalling/SDM/SDL solutions on Telco Cloud (4G/5G) platforms, ensuring service availability and stability.
- Lead advanced troubleshooting of complex subscriber and signalling issues using logs, alarms, KPIs, and protocol analysis tools such as Wireshark, ensuring resolution within SLA.
- Handle critical issues related to node reachability, FM/PM alarms, performance degradation, and service impact, and coordinate recovery actions during major incidents.
- Perform detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring and high-impact issues, propose corrective and preventive actions, and present reports to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Work extensively on Linux and cloud environments (VMware, OpenStack, OpenShift, Docker/Containers) to support troubleshooting, maintenance, and operational activities.
- Provide deep operational expertise on Subscriber & Signalling nodes such as AAA, One-NDS, SDL (Shared Data Layer), HLR/HSS, UDM/AUSF, SCP, STP, One-EIR, NPC, CSD, etc.
- Apply strong understanding of 4G and 5G call flows and subscriber signalling procedures while diagnosing and resolving customer-facing issues.
- Act as a technical escalation point for L1/L2 teams and collaborate closely with engineering, deployment, and vendor teams for complex problem resolution.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, review their troubleshooting approach, and support skill development within the operations team.
- Drive operational improvements, including SOP updates, automation opportunities, and proactive monitoring strategies.
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams, providing clear status updates, incident communications, and technical explanations during normal operations and outages.
Job Qualification:
- Technical:
- Perform health checks and troubleshooting from the logs captured and provide solutions within the SLA
- Should have exp. in resolving different issues related to Node Reachability, FM/PM and other KPI's.
- Should understand troubleshooting tools like Wireshark etc.
- Good working experience in Linux, VMWare, Dockers & Containers, OpenStack, OpenShift
- Should understand the Cloud environment and understanding of how S&S solution/Nodes are deployed on cloud.
- Domain:
- Working knowledge on Subscriber & Signalling Nodes like -AAA, One NDS, SDL (Shared Data Layer), Registers (HLR/HSS, UDM/AUSF), One-EIR, SCP, CSD, STP, U-DRA, NPC, EIR etc.
- Should have deep knowledge of 4G and 5G call flows- Candidate should have end to end understanding of Subscriber & Signalling domain
- Candidate should have prior experience in Maintaining and troubleshooting Subscriber and Signalling nodes, Analyse the logs, performing RCA and share Reports within the agreed SLA.
- 4+ years of overall experience, with a minimum of 2 years in the Subscriber & Signalling domain
- Strong communication, team handling, analytical, and presentation skills
- Mandatory Skills: Telecom 5G Wireless OAM SW .
Language Skills: Business level Japanese (JLPT N2) and Fluent level English
