Job Description:

• Lead Data Scientists leverage advanced analytics to drive innovative approaches in understanding, interacting, and optimizing customer engagement.
• Successful candidates work closely with business stakeholders, primarily in Japanese, to understand the requirements and broader business context. This role involves leading data analytics initiatives from conception to implementation and delivery.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business context, and derive data-driven solutions.
• Lead and oversee data analytics initiatives in planning, executing, and delivering high-quality analytics solutions.
• Work closely with the data platform team and other IT teams to identify dependencies and eliminate blockers to ensure the smooth progress of the development process.
• Develop, deploy, and manage machine learning models and analytics projects that align with business goals.
• CI/CD, MLOps, Azure and similar cloud platforms, DevOpsto streamline the development and deployment process.
• SQL、Python、Pandas、PySpark、AzureML Leverage your hands-on expertise in developing and implementing data models and analytics using PowerBI.
• Leverage domain expertise in the finance or insurance sector, particularly in the areas of distribution, operations and marketing, to ensure the success of your projects.
• Prepare detailed documentation including project deliverables and technical specifications for analytics and machine learning initiatives.
• Effectively communicate to team members and leadership about analytics and machine learning requirements, progress, and outcomes through presentations and reports.
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and compliance standards and use AI responsibly.
• Improve analytics and data solutions by incorporating best practices and methodologies from other markets.
• Proactively propose new solutions and enhancements based on new technologies and business needs.

Job Qualification:

• At least 5 years of experience in an advanced analytical role, A track record of delivering successful business outcomes.
• Leadership experience in managing data science or analytics teams.
• Quantitative methods and business analysis skills and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Expertise in building and applying data models using machine learning techniques such as classification, regression, clustering, time series analysis, and dimensionality reduction.
• Python and SQL programming skills.
• Deep understanding of data visualization tools, especially Power BI.
• Experience with CI/CD, MLOps, and cloud platforms such as Azure.
• Hands-on experience with data analysis tools and libraries such as Pandas, PySpark, and Azure ML.
• Background in the financial or insurance domain in the field of distribution, operations and marketing.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and continuously learn new tools and technologies (e.g., Generative AI (GenAI)) to improve your analytical capabilities.
• Willingness to upgrade domain knowledge and continue to evaluate its business applicability.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with colleagues at all levels, gain their trust and make an impact.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex information concisely to a diverse audience.

Education

• Bachelor's degree with a focus on quantitative models such as statistics, marketing science, operations research, econometrics, and machine learning.
• Advanced degrees in similar fields are pluses. Data & Analytics courses and specializations.
• Azure Data Scientist, Azure Enterprise Data Analyst, and Azure Data in particular Azure certification for engineers.

Language Skills: Fluent level Japanese (JLPT N1) and Business level English
