Job Description:

Reporting directly to the Japan Automotive Practice Head, you will be working as an onsite lead at the client location. You will be responsible for communicating with customers, scheduling projects with buy-in from all stakeholders, monitoring and updating customers on progress, coordinating with offshore to get the desired quality without schedule delays.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supporting the design and development of automotive seating  
• Collaborate with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives  
• Coordinate project schedules, resources, facilities and information  
• Maintain proper communication to meet customer requirements and complete tasks within deadlines  
• Serve as the point of contact to keep all participants informed of the project status  
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports  
• Conduct quality reviews to meet standards and requirements  
• CATIA V5/NX - Surfing, 3D modeling, detailing, assembly  
• Conduct packaging research, layout research, and regulation research (including peripheral parts) 

Job Qualifications:

• 10+ years of comprehensive experience in automotive product design and development  
• 5+ years of experience in automotive seat design including resin, metal, electrical, electronic and complete seating 
• Proficient in CAD software such as CATIA V5/UG-NX  
• Experience in project management, dealing with customers and global teams.  
• English level: Business level communication 
• Japanese level: Fluent in conversation, writing, and reading (proficiency level) 

Prefered Qualifications:

• BE/B.Tech Degree in Mechanical and Electrical 
• Experience with TeamCenter is a plus  
• Basic knowledge of CAE and interpretation of CAE results  
• Knowledge of DFM, DFA, DFMEA
