Junior SAP Functional Consultant

Job Description

Appealing points: 

• Work on SAP enhancement and support projects, gaining hands-on exposure to SAP FI, MM, PP, configuration, testing, and change management.
• Collaborate with Japanese business users and global teams, translating business requirements into effective SAP solutions in an international environment.
• Build expertise in modern SAP delivery practices, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP Activate, SIT/UAT, transport management, release management, and enterprise implementation projects.

Annual Salary: 5 Million yen and above

Job Responsibilities: 

• Analyze and understand business requirements for SAP enhancements and change requests.
• Coordinate with Japanese business users and global development teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and delivered.
• Prepare functional specifications and support development activities.
• Perform functional testing, SIT, UAT support, and defect validation.
• Execute minor SAP configuration changes and support deployment activities.
• Validate solutions against business requirements and obtain user sign-off.
• Prepare functional documentation, test scripts, and user training materials.
• Support release management, transport coordination, and change implementation activities.

Job Qualification:

• Minimum 2 years of SAP functional experience(SAP FI / SAP MM (P2P) / SAP PP (P2D))
• Experience in SAP support, testing, configuration, or change request activities
• Understanding of SAP transport management processes
• Familiarity with SAP Activate, ASAP, or similar methodologies
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a global team environment
• Bachelor’s degree in IT / Computer Science / Business / or related field.

Preferred Qualification:

• Experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA
• Exposure to implementation, rollout, or enhancement projects
• Experience with Jira, ALM, ServiceNow, or similar tools
• SAP certification in FI, MM, or PP is an advantage

Language Skills: Native level Japanese and Business level English
