Bilingual Database Engineer in Insurance

Job Description

Annual Salary : 5 million yen and above

Job Responsibilities:

• Respond to technical inquiries from customers, coordinate work schedules, and secure TCS personnel (Japanese and English)
• Interpret for monolingual engineers in the above communications (Japanese and English)
• Reporting in Japanese to the head of the customer team
• Communication support for monolingual engineers within the customer team (Japanese and English)
• Various administrative procedures and administrative support for monolingual engineers (Japanese and English)

Job Qualifications:

• Basic skills in Windows and Microsoft Office
• Experience with DBA operational tasks
• DB operational knowledge of one or more databases (MSSQL/DB2/Oracle/AWS RDS/Aurora, etc.)
• Knowledge of DB operations on one or more cloud platforms (AWS/ Experience in DB operation tasks in Azure/GCP
• Bilingual communication to collaborate with clients, other vendors, and in-house technical teams in Japan
• Able to read and understand existing documents written in Japanese and maintain themindependently
• Able to explain technical content in an easy-to-understand manner even to non-technical personnel.
• Ability to stand among various parties and tenaciously coordinate
• Ability to flexibly engage in night and holiday correspondence

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in automation tools (Ansible/PowerShell/SQL), etc.
• Operation design, procedure manual maintenance, Practical experience in operational improvement

Languages :

• Japanese: Business level or higher (equivalent to JLPT N1/N2)
• English: Reading and writing required; business-level speaking ability preferred
