ADAS Senior Engineer

Job Description

Appealing Point:

• End-to-end involvement in automotive system verification Participate from concept study through system-level verification, including test planning, scenario design, execution, and reporting.
• Develop expertise in ISO 26262 and automotive validation Build strong skills in HW/SW verification methodologies while contributing to new test methods, processes, and test rig development.
• Work in a bilingual, collaborative environment Utilize fluent Japanese and basic English skills to coordinate with project stakeholders; AUTOSAR experience is a valuable plus.

Annual Salary: 5 million yen and above

Responsibilities:

• Define the concept of the ADAS function you are responsible for and create related documentation
• Define and create technical requirements based on the concept
• Work with related ECUs, sensors, and other parts specialists to ensure consistency of requirements and quality.
• Collaborate with suppliers and external partners to drive feature development.
• Work with the evaluation team to ensure consistency between functional goals and requirements and proceed with the verification process
• Supporting approval activities through document preparation etc.
• Technical support and guidance for young engineers
• Work closely with stakeholders such as project managers, product owners, and other departments to ensure alignment of functional goals and project success.

Job Qualifications:

• A master's degree or at least a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
• Have at least 5 years of work experience in a related area
• Deep knowledge of vehicle electronics including ECUs, sensors, actuators and communication protocols
• Skills in system-level analysis, troubleshooting, and debugging of vehicle electrical systems
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Knowledge of industry standard tools such as CAN handling tools and software for system design, simulation and testing
• Understanding of regulations and standards related to ADAS and automotive engineering
• Knowledge and experience in ISO 26262 (functional safety) and cybersecurity
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at a business level in Japanese and English
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to act independently and in teams
• Passionate and proactive in learning cutting-edge technologies related to ADAS

 Japanese language: Business level Japanese (N2) and Basic English required.
