Oracle Billing Testing Consultant

Job Description

• Specialized QA role in telecom billing and Oracle BRM: Apply your expertise in testing Oracle BRM and telecom billing platforms, ensuring compliance with billing standards and revenue assurance practices.
• Lead QA efforts in a bilingual, cross-functional setting: Use your near-native Japanese and business English to collaborate with analysts, developers, and stakeholders across test design, execution, and release readiness.
• Drive QA innovation through automation and process improvement: Contribute to test automation initiatives and refine QA workflows, playing a key role in enhancing overall testing efficiency and quality.

Annual Salary : 10 million and above

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for Oracle BRM modules within telecom billing environments.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) across billing workflows.
• Validate billing configurations, data integrity, and system behavior against business requirements.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to ensure complete test coverage and issue resolution.
• Identify, document, and track defects; work closely with development teams to ensure timely fixes.
• Support performance testing and contribute to automation initiatives where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with telecom billing standards, financial regulations, and internal quality benchmarks.
• Participate in release planning, QA sign-offs, and production deployment readiness.
• Maintain detailed test documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and tools.

Job Qualification:

• Near-native Japanese and business-level English proficiency.
• Proven experience in testing Oracle BRM systems and telecom billing platforms.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing or QA roles.
• Strong understanding of telecom billing lifecycle, invoicing, and revenue assurance.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM).
• Must be authorized to work in Japan; sponsorship is not available

Preferred

• Experience with large-scale telecom transformation or modernization projects.
• Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP).
• ISTQB or equivalent testing certification.
• Exposure to Agile or hybrid delivery models.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.

Japanese languages:  Native level Japanese (N) and business level English required.
