Business Analyst

Job Description

• Serve as a key bridge between Japanese-speaking stakeholders and global IT teams with native-level Japanese (N1) and business-level English.
• Engage in end-to-end business analysis, from requirements gathering and process mapping to system design, testing, and post-implementation support.
• Work in cross-functional agile teams using tools like Jira and Confluence, contributing to business improvements and automation opportunities.

Annual Salary: 8 million and above

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Japanese-speaking stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for development teams.
• Facilitate communication between Japanese business users and global IT or product teams.
• Analyze existing business processes and recommend improvements or automation opportunities.
• Assist in system design discussions, solution validation, and usability assessments.
• Create and maintain documentation, including BRDs, FRDs, user stories, workflows, and use cases.
• Coordinate and support testing activities (UAT, SIT), ensuring delivered solutions meet business expectations.
• Support project managers with planning, progress tracking, and issue resolution.
• Provide post-implementation support and troubleshoot issues reported by users.
• Participate in workshops, meetings, and presentations in both Japanese and English.

Job Qualifications:

• 8+ yrs of experience as a business analyst.
• Strong skills in requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation.
• Knowledge of SDLC, agile methodologies, and business analysis best practices.
• Ability to translate complex concepts clearly between Japanese and English.
• Experience working with cross-functional and multicultural teams.
• Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Office

Japanese Languages: Business level japanese level (JLPT N2) and business level english required
