Factory DX Promotion Engineer

Job Description

Appealing Points:

• Manage factory IT infrastructure, production PCs, MES, ICS environments, IT assets, and cybersecurity compliance to ensure stable operations.
• Support new production line launches through MES, AGV, and WMS implementations while coordinating with IT vendors, equipment manufacturers, and engineering teams.
• Drive continuous improvement through troubleshooting, backup and monitoring enhancements, and the adoption of DX, AI, and emerging technologies.

Annual Salary : 5.5 Million Yen and above

Job Responsibilities:

Factory IT & Infrastructure Operations

• Operation and maintenance of production line PCs, MES, and ICS environments
• Management of IT assets (PCs, licenses, etc.)
• Support for the stable operation of factory IT systems
• Compliance with cybersecurity and ICS standards

Factory DX & New Line Launch Support

• Design of IT environments for new production lines
• Participation in MES, AGV, and WMS implementation projects
• Coordination with IT vendors and equipment manufacturers
• Collaboration with the Engineering team

Troubleshooting

• Resolution of IT issues occurring on the production floor
• Collaboration with Regional IT and overseas teams
• Technical support and escalation management improvements

Continuous Improvement

• Proposing for the factory IT environment
• Improving backup and monitoring environments
• Exploring the implementation of new technologies such as DX and AI utilization

Job Qualification:

• Practical experience in any IT-related work, such as internal IT, IT support, or IT operations
• Basic IT knowledge and a willingness to proactively learn and acquire new technologies and skills

Wanted Skills:

• Basic knowledge or practical experience in IT infrastructure (network, Windows environment, servers, etc.)
• Experience in Factory IT, MES, or OT (Operational Technology)
• IT support experience in manufacturing or factories
• Experience using Google Workspace
• Interest in AI and DX
• Basic programming knowledge such as PowerShell and Python
• Knowledge of cybersecurity
• Experience communicating with overseas teams via email, meetings, etc. in English

Language proficiency: Business Level Japanese(JLPT N2) and Business level English
