Job Description

A Security Support Engineer is needed to support a large-scale security operations project for a leading Japanese automotive enterprise. The role involves day-to-day security administration, incident handling, user support and infrastructure security operations in a Japanese and global environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Firewall administration and security policy management
• URL filtering whitelist/blacklist management
• Endpoint security operations (AV / EDR monitoring and support)
• Email security administration and investigation
• Security incident handling and troubleshooting
• Active Directory account administration
• User support and security-related inquiries
• Security operations reporting and documentation
• Coordination with Japanese and global teams
• Support for ongoing security improvement activities

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT infrastructure or security operations experience
• Hands-on experience with Firewall, Active Directory, Endpoint Security (AV/EDR), Security Incident Handling and User Support
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC)
• Microsoft Defender
• Network Security
• Security Governance / Compliance
• Experience supporting large enterprise environments

Languages Required: Fluent level Japanese (JLPT N1) and Concersational level English
