Job Description

Appeling Point: 

  • Work with cutting-edge MES and Ignition systems, integrating PLCs and ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Solve complex system issues and optimize production uptime while collaborating with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Receive hands-on experience with industrial protocols, cloud monitoring, and IIoT platforms in a globally recognized company.

Annual Salary: 8 Million Yen and Above

Job Responsibility:

Deployment and Integration:

  • Understand MES use cases and knowledge of MES workflow /Modules
  • Assist in deploying new features, configurations, and integrations for Ignition & Sepasoft systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth communication between Ignition, PLCs, MES and ERP systems.

Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:

  • Analyze system logs and conduct root cause analysis for system issues and malfunctions.
  • Resolve hardware and software issues related to MES and OT systems.
  • Ensure minimal production downtime by providing timely and effective support during system failures.

Documentation and Reporting::

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for troubleshooting processes, system configurations, and changes.
  • Generate and share periodic performance reports, including system availability and uptime metrics.

Training and Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Train plant personnel and operators on effective use and best practices for MES systems.
  • Collaborate with vendors and external partners to escalate and resolve complex issues.

Compliance and Best Practices:

  • Ensure systems adhere to corporate IT/OT policies and standards, including cybersecurity protocols.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in MES, Ignition and PLC technologies.

Preferred Qualification:

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Ignition & MES
  • Experience with SQL databases and scripting for Ignition.
  • Understanding of ISA-95 architecture and MES/OT integration layers.
  • Familiarity with IT/OT convergence, network architecture, and cybersecurity standards.

Preferred Skills

  • Ignition certification is highly desirable.
  • Experience with cloud-based monitoring or IIoT platforms is a plus.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems in automotive or heavy equipment industries.

Soft Skills: 

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Experience:

  • 7-10 years of experience in supporting MES and Ignition systems within manufacturing environments.
  • Hands-on experience with PLCs, SCADA, and MES systems integration.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as OPC, MQTT, and Modbus.

Language Proficiency: Fluent level Japanese and Business level English.
