Job Description:

• Database Management: Overseeing table structures and ensuring efficient data flow using TCL (Transaction Control Language) to maintain consistency.

• Application Development: Supporting web-based applications by leveraging Java to connect backend logic with database layers.

• BI & Automation: Utilizing Python to build Business Intelligence tools and automate complex data manipulation tasks.

• System Optimization: Applying a foundational understanding of languages like C++ to grasp low-level system interactions when performance tuning is required.

Job Qualifications:

• A combination of basic infrastructure knowledge (primarily Windows environment) as well as some DevOps capabilities.
• Experience in the travel industry would be a plus but not necessarily a requirement.
• 5 years’ experience in IT environment preferred
• Understanding of SQL fundamentals, including but not limited to:
  • Understanding of Database and table structure related to web-based applications.
  • Ability to create and understand SQL queries and usage including, DQL, DML, DDL, DCL and TCL.
  • Data Manipulation & Retrieval: Filtering with WHERE, sorting with ORDER BY, and grouping with GROUP BY and HAVING.
  • Joins: Combining data from multiple tables (INNER, LEFT, RIGHT, FULL).
  • Aggregates: Using functions like COUNT, SUM, AVG, MIN, MAX.
  • Structure: Utilizing subqueries, CTEs, and understanding database objects like primary/foreign keys
• Software development understanding of various languages including but not limited to:
  • JAVA in relation to web-based application development
  • PYTHON specifically for BI tools creation and data manipulation
  • Understanding of C++ is helpful but not necessarily a requirement

Language profficiency : Conversational level japanese (N3 and above) and Business level English.
