Responsibilities:

As a bilingual Project Manager for automotive software development, you will lead projects for innovative automotive Tier-1 suppliers, contributing to the realization of next-generation mobility. Leveraging advanced technical knowledge and excellent communication skills, you will efficiently and effectively manage projects from conception to deployment. You will lead cross-functional teams, collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure the achievement of business objectives, quality standards, and on-time delivery. Working in a global environment, utilizing both English and Japanese, you will bridge cultural gaps and build a career at the forefront of automotive software development. Qualifications:

  • Project Management:
    • Lead automotive software development projects from conception to deployment, ensuring alignment of technical and business objectives.
    • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resources, while strictly adhering to quality standards and milestones.
    • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and ensure the implementation of corrective actions to maintain project timelines.
    • Utilize bilingual skills to facilitate communication between global teams and enable cross-cultural collaboration.
    • Coordinate and collaborate with clients (automotive OEMs/Tier-1s) and suppliers to integrate automotive software with hardware platforms.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management:
    • Serve as the primary internal and external point of contact for clients and stakeholders, ensuring that diverse expectations are met.
    • Collect and clarify requirements, translating business needs into technical specifications.
    • Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and manage client feedback.
    • Resolve issues that arise during the project lifecycle and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Lead a cross-functional team including various software developers, QA engineers, and hardware engineers to ensure seamless collaboration across departments.
    • Facilitate bilingual communication between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring all project members understand goals and progress.
    • Act as a liaison between the team and the client, resolving discrepancies and conflicts using bilingual communication to eliminate misunderstandings and disagreements.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
    • Prepare and present project documentation, including reports, risk assessments, and technical reviews.
    • Document project progress and performance metrics in both English and Japanese (as needed).
    • Create bilingual project documentation for clients and team members to ensure clarity and completeness.

Language Requirements: Native level Japanese with Business English conversation skill.
