Job Description:

• This role is part of a strategic transformation initiative for a Japan-based healthcare organization. Workstream Lead based in Japan, coordinating a data centre migration project (SAP ECC from on-premise to cloud) and interacting with IT teams, business users, SAP functional/technical consultants, and third-party interface providers, the major skills required include:The workstream lead need to cross functional SAP modules experience and  have data migration / upgrade experience  of SAP ECC system connected with multiple third party systems for Japanese client.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Project & Stakeholder Management

• Strong leadership and coordination skills to manage multiple workstreams.
• Ability to bridge communication between business, IT, and vendors.
• Stakeholder engagement and expectation management.
• Experience in status reporting, escalation handling, and governance.

2. SAP Landscape & Migration Knowledge

• Understanding of SAP ECC architecture and its components (FI/CO, SD, MM, PI).
• Awareness of cloud migration impacts (Opella Azure environment).
• Familiarity with data center move processes and dependencies.

3. Interface Management

• Knowledge of SAP PI/PO interfaces, IDocs, RFCs, and third-party integrations.
• Ability to coordinate repointing and testing of interfaces (18+ as per scope).
• Understanding of EPOCH system connectivity and downstream flows (e.g., TM1).

4. Testing & Validation

• Oversight of functional testing for ECC modules (P2P, OTC, FICO).
• Ensure end-to-end data integrity across systems post-migration.
• Manage BW extractor validation and reporting consistency.

 5. Technical Coordination

• Basic understanding of Basis activities (system copy, connectivity, transports).
• Ability to liaise with cloud teams for performance and security checks.

6. Communication & Cultural Skills

• Fluent communication in English and Japanese for local business and global teams.
• Cultural sensitivity for Japan-based stakeholders.
• Clear documentation and presentation skills.

7. Risk & Issue Management

• Identify migration risks (downtime, data loss, interface failures).
• Develop contingency plans and coordinate cutover activities.
• Conduct FIT-GAP workshops with Japanese business stakeholders to assess procurement and payment processes.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure proper integration of SAP modules with other systems.
• Support interface migration and vendor communications.
• Work with Japanese business users to gather requirements, validate testing scenarios, and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with offshore teams for development, testing, and issue resolution.
• Assist in test planning, execution, and defect management for PTP functionalities.
• Lead functional teams for Testing functional and integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the configured solution meets business requirements.
• Data Migration Support: Collaborate with data migration teams to ensure accurate and timely migration of PTP and OTC relevant master and transactional data.
• Training & Documentation: Coordinate for training sessions to end-users in Japan, ensuring a smooth transition and user adoption including project documentation.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as a liaison between global project teams, local business users, and external partners. Effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice-versa.
• Go-Live & Post Go-Live Support: Provide critical support during go-live and hypercare phases, troubleshooting issues and ensuring system stability.
• Localization Expertise: Advise on and implement Japanese-specific legal, regulatory, and business requirements within SAP PTP and OTC processes.

Job Qualification:

• Cross functional working experience in the major areas of P2P , OTC , FICO
• Strong Japanese and English communication skills.
• Experience in cloud migration projects, preferably involving Azure.
• Good working experience in onsite-offshore model.

Nice to have:

• SAP HANA Certified in either of modules MM/SD/FICO

Language Skills: Fluent level Japanese (JLPT N1) and Business level English
