Job Description

To strengthen the team for projects in the life insurance industry, the company is seeking individuals who can lead design and development in the IBM Mainframe environment. You will lead the design and development of mainframe solutions in an IT development project for a life insurance company, collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality deliverables, solve problems and manage the team effectively.

Job Responsibilities

• Impact analysis
• High-level design
• Detailed design (low-level design)
• Lead the development team and review deliverables
• Coordinate requirements and specifications with customers and stakeholders
• Explain and demonstrate deliverables
• Lead the resolution of issues and defects found in the testing process
• Collaborate with and manage offshore teams
• Manage project progress and provide status reporting

Required Qualifications

• Approximately 7+ years of experience in designing and developing in an IBM Mainframe environment
• Experience in system development using COBOL
• Experience in basic and detailed design
• Project lead or team management experience
• Customer negotiation experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Assembler development experience
• System development experience for the life insurance industry
• Offshore development management experience

Language Required: Native level Japanese.
