SAP Functional Test Coordinator

Job Description

Annual salary: 12 million and above

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and coordinate functional testing activities for SAP ECC migration and related interfaces.
• Develop test strategy, test plans, and test cases in collaboration with functional teams.
• Facilitate FIT-GAP workshops and ensure test coverage for all identified gaps.
• Coordinate with Japanese business users for UAT and validation of migrated processes.
• Manage defect triage and resolution by working closely with offshore development teams.
• Ensure compliance with Japan-specific healthcare and regulatory requirements during testing.
• Track and report testing progress, risks, and issues to project leadership.
• Support interface testing, including EDI integrations for OTC and PTP processes.
• Maintain documentation and sign-off for all testing phases.
• Understanding of SAP ECC architecture and its components (FI/CO, SD, MM, PI).
• Awareness of cloud migration impacts (Opella Azure environment).
• Ability to coordinate repointing and testing of interfaces (18+ as per scope).
• Understanding of EPOCH system connectivity and downstream flows (e.g., TM1).
• Oversight of functional testing for ECC modules (P2P, OTC, FICO).

Job Qualification:

• Bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English (spoken and written).
• 6–8 years of experience in SAP functional testing coordination (ECC modules like FICO, OTC, PTP).
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, defect management, and UAT processes.
• Experience in cloud migration projects (preferably Azure).
• Familiarity with EDI integration testing and SAP IDoc flows.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in global delivery models with offshore teams.

Nice to have:

• Prior experience in healthcare domain or Japan-based SAP projects.
• Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager or similar test management tools.
• ISTQB or similar testing certification is a plus.

Language Skills: Fluent level Japanese (JLPT N1) and Business level English
