Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor QA engineers, ensuring effective execution of testing activities.
  • Manage task allocation, progress tracking, and milestone delivery.
  • Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Define and implement QA strategies for telecom platforms.
  • Oversee manual and automated testing across functional, regression, performance, and UAT phases.
  • Ensure comprehensive coverage of system components and integrations.
  • Serve as the QA point of contact for cross-functional teams.
  • Facilitate clear communication of requirements, risks, and progress in both English and Japanese.
  • Align QA efforts with business goals and technical specifications.
  • Develop automation frameworks using industry-standard tools.
  • Continuously improve QA processes and tools to enhance efficiency.
  • Conduct risk assessments and proactively address quality concerns.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of test plans, cases, and results.
  • Provide regular quality reports and insights to leadership.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in QA, including 3+ years in leadership roles.
  • Strong domain knowledge in telecom systems (BSS/OSS).
  • Experience with billing, CRM, and order management platforms.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in QA methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Hands-on with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Strong SQL and database validation skills.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
  • Exposure to telecom data models and cloud-native architectures.

Bilingual requirements: Native, Japanese & English language business level proficiency.
