ADAS Solution Architect for Automotive

Job Description

• Key technical pre-sales leadership role in ADAS / Autonomous Driving Act as the technical leader supporting sales activities in Japan, engaging directly with automotive clients to design and present advanced ADAS/AD solutions.
• End-to-end involvement across complex automotive system lifecycles Leverage deep expertise in system and software architecture, functional safety, and certification processes to support delivery from specification through validation and certification.

Annual Salary: 10 million and above

Responsibilities:

• Support the sales team in Japan, introducing our capabilities to automotive clients and prospects and building solutions - acting as the technical leader for pre-sales activities.
• Support the delivery team during the critical delivery phase, including training the local team on the latest ADAS/AD technologies.
• Act as a thought leader on ADAS/AD technologies and support research & innovation projects carried out in Japan related to your area of ​​expertise

Qualifications:

• Solid competence in ADAS and/or autonomous driving system architectures, as well as design/simulation, development and
• validation processes in accordance with the sector's safety constraints (ISO 26262)
• Experience managing or overseeing the development lifecycle process (from specification to certification) of complex systems in the automotive industry
• Demonstrated competence in embedded software development in C/C++, Python etc.
• Knowledge and experience with ROS and AutoSAR
• Strong communication skills, business-level fluency in English (written and verbal)
• Ability to communicate effectively at executive and technical levels (client and internal)
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision, but also proactive and highly effective in a team environment
• Enthusiastic, flexible and keen approach to supporting the development of junior colleagues through mentoring etc.
• Structured individual with excellent problem-solving skills
• Understanding of fundamental principles of functional safety implementation (ISO26262, SOTIF) and security (ISO21434)
• Experience with Automotive SPICE preferred
• A relevant technical degree or equivalent experience in a relevant technical or industry field (Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science)
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in the automotive industry with a demonstrated background in the technical delivery of products, services (preferably both) related to systems and/or software architecture.
