• Collaborate with Japanese OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers to define and develop Battery Management System (BMS) requirements
• Gain hands-on experience with HV HIL setups and real-time test environments, covering BMS architecture validation and hardware and software integration
• Work closely with hardware, software and validation engineers, while bridging Japanese and English through technical document translation

Annual Salary: 5 Million Yen and above

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Japanese OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers to define and develop BMS system requirements
• Validate BMS architecture, ensuring seamless integration of hardware and software
• Develop automated test frameworks for embedded systems
• Ensure compliance with automotive standards such as ISO 26262, AUTOSAR and ASPICE
• Support project management activities, including schedule tracking, reporting and client communication
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software and validation engineers
• Translate technical documents and specifications between Japanese and English

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field
• 3 to 4 years of experience in Battery Management Systems (BMS), High Voltage test benches and power electronics validation
• BMS (Battery Management System) background
• Strong understanding of BMS system architecture and software validation
• Hands-on experience with HV HIL setups and real-time test environments
• Experience in BMS architecture validation, ensuring seamless integration of hardware and software
• Experience with overall Battery Management System features, cell balancing, SOC/SOH estimation and contactor control
• Proficiency in C programming and Vector CAN tools
• Expertise in CAN communication, diagnostics and fault analysis
• Experience in developing automated test frameworks for embedded systems
• Experience in software debugging and the use of emulators and debuggers
• Strong analytical, debugging and documentation skills

Language Required: Conversational level Japanese (JLPT N3 and above) and Business level English.
