Job Responsibilities:

• automation:
• Coding/Recipe Development and Implementation (DCS/Scada/PLC/Control Network)
• Design, implementation and maintenance of historian configuration for modules/visualization/OPEX
• Implementing software change management related to automation/system changes
• Owning and developing automation solutions that match the specific needs of your manufacturing environment
• Actively participate in preparing appropriate and cost-effective solutions for all automation investment related projects, leveraging best practices and expertise from our entire engineering network
• Design and implementation of Master Batch Record (MBR) for MES
• Drive the automation deployment process at the field level to achieve cost, schedule and technical solutions
• Utilizing Technology (OT):
• Operational management of OT systems, tools, and applications to ensure stability and integrity while meeting customer service levels
• Support business owners of OT systems on all emerging technical topics, operate all IT/OT services, systems and applications, and monitor events occurring in the corporate environment
• Ensures that configuration items (all components that need to be managed to deliver an IT service) are identified, accounted for, reported, verified, and audited
• Implementing/executing end-to-end processes required for OT systems and cybersecurity requirements
• Ensure an up-to-date asset inventory of all technical assets is maintained
• Responsible for ensuring adherence to security and compliance policies and procedures
• Project Engineering and Control:
• Identifying technical solutions
• Preparing equipment specifications and system requirements for projects (e.g., user requirements specifications)
• Preparing functional specifications for projects
• Conducting FAT/SAT/inspections for new equipment in projects
• Conducting commissioning activities

Job Qualification:

• CSV (computer system validation) experience or automation/development experience in API manufacturing or formulation manufacturing (5 years)
• A proactive stance of actively implementing measures to expand the scope of responsibility and improve capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills
• Japanese (business level), English (business level)
• Flexibility and passion: Ability to travel within Japan as needed
