Job Responsibility:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the program management office,settingand guiding objectives in line with organizational goals.
- Oversee the successful delivery of a portfolio of programs, ensuring they meet the strategic, financial, and operational objectives of the organization.
- Develop and refine program management methodologies, processes, and standards to drive efficiency and effectiveness across all projects.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, senior management, and cross-functional department leads, to ensure alignment and support for program initiatives.
- Lead, coach, and mentor Project/Program Managers and project teams, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous learning, and professional development.
- Ensure the integration of program deliverables with business operations, facilitating a smooth transition and sustained impact.
- Drive program-level resource planning and allocation, working closely with finance and HR to ensure optimal staffing and budget management.
- Conduct high-level risk assessment and mitigation planning across the program portfolio,ensuring robust contingency plans are in place.
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement within the PMO, encouraging the adoption of new tools, technologies, and best practices.
- Represent the PMO in executive meetings, providing insights and updates on program performance, challenges, and opportunities.
- Lead strategic initiatives beyond the scope of standard program management,
- contributing to the broader organizational strategy and growth.
- Actively utilize the PSA system to monitor consultant utilization, track allocations, and ensure effective capacity planning for both pre-sales and project delivery.
- Oversee revenue forecasting, ensuring accuracy, proactive updates, and timely delivery of all required reports to leadership.
- Manage team escalations, ensuring timely resolution, stakeholder communication, and risk mitigation across all programs.
- Lead training, upskilling, and capability development initiatives for the delivery organization, aligning with global best practices.
- Support recruitment activities by identifying hiring needs, interviewing candidates, and driving talent growth within the Japan delivery team.
Job Qualification:
- Extensive experience in program management, with a significant track record of leading
- large-scale, complex programs in a dynamic environment.
- Proven leadership experience at a senior level, with the ability to influence and drive strategic decisions.
- Demonstrated success in managing a PMO or similar department, with a focus on delivering results and building high-performing teams.
- Competency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Exceptional leadership and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams towards a common vision.
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders, including at the executive level.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to oversee program budgets and deliver on financial objectives.
- Proficiency in program and project management tools, methodologies, and software.
- Fluent in both Japanese and English, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly in both languages.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in software, consulting, or project management (e.g.,
- Certified Management Consultant, PMP).
- Experience with specific industries or types of software may be requiredepending on the consultancy's focus.
Language proficiency: Fluent Level Japanese (JLPT N1) and Business Level english.
