Job Description:

• We’re hiring highly technical AWS Cloud Architect focused on Database Migration role.To focus on customer solutions such as high volume mission critical OLTP/OLAP environments, batch data processing, designing and deploying future state petabyte-scale data warehouse service and building and/or designing reference configurations to enable our customers and influence AWS RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB and Redshift adoption.

Job Responsibilities:

• We are looking for hands-on cloud architects who will work with other Professional members in a project to:
• l Analyze on-premises database environments such as Oracle, SQL Server, or other Commercial DB Engines to Open Source Engines like Aurora PostgreSQL/MySQL or RedShift, DynamoDB.
• l Work with customers to migrate their database environments to AWS. This may include, but is not limited to Re-Host database platform on AWS, Upgrade/Optimize for AWS, Re-Factor to open source database platform on AWS
• l Consult for optimal design of database environments, analyzing complex distributed production deployments, and making recommendations to optimize performance
• l Develop innovative solutions to complex business and technology problems
• l Design and implement cloud-based solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• l Migrate complex, multi-tier applications and databases from on-premises to AWS.
• l Select appropriate AWS services to design and deploy applications based on given requirements.
• l Implement cost-control strategies to optimize cloud spending.
• l Design and deploy scalable, fault-tolerant, and reliable applications on AWS.
• l Collaborate with development and IT teams to integrate systems and business models effectively.
• l Advise on best practices for cloud security and compliance.
• l Manage and monitor AWS cloud resources to ensure optimal performance.
• l Create and maintain disaster recovery strategies.
• l Provide expertise on application and infrastructure architecture on the AWS platform

Job Qualifications:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Japanese.
• Knowledge of the primary aws services (ec2, elb, rds, route53 & s3)
• Experience implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments
• Required Strong Knowledge and experience on at least one commercial relational database (Oracle, SQL Server, IBM2), or open source database (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB).
• Desire knowledge on non-relational database, like, mongodb, couchdb, redis.
• Experience and technical expertise (design and implementation) in cloud computing technologies
• Familiarity with Linux, Python, Bash, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Prefered Qualifications:

• Experience facilitating discussions with senior leadership regarding technical / architectural trade-offs, best practices, and risk mitigation
• Experience leading the design, development and deployment of business software at scale or recent hands-on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience
• Experience with infrastructure automation or configuration management and architectural leadership experience with microservices and distributed applications, such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology.

Japanese Langauge skill : Native Level Japanese and Business level english.
