Job description:

We are seeking an experienced AWS Migration Project Manager to lead and oversee cloud migration & infra standardization projects for a financial institution in Japan. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in project management, with specific expertise in AWS/cloud migrations, and will be fluent in both Japanese and English. This role requires close collaboration with customer IT teams, business users, and development teams to ensure successful project delivery within defined constraints.

Job Responsibilities:

Project Management:

• Work collaboratively with customer IT teams, business users, and development teams to manage AWS migration projects.
• Define and manage project scope, timelines, and quality, ensuring successful completion within project constraints.
• Create, review, and maintain project plans and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinating with technical teams setup in hybrid model between onsite & offshore in India

.Stakeholder Engagement:

• Develop and maintain positive relationships across the business to facilitate open dialogue and ensure engagement.
• Identify the communication needs of stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely updates on project scope, requirements, and delivery.
• Interact with various stakeholders, including business users for requirements understanding, client IT teams for scope and approval processes, development teams for project progress, and vendors as needed.

Communication and Reporting:

• Effectively communicate project expectations to stakeholders and team members in both Japanese and English.
• Serve as the key interface for business stakeholders, project submitters, and the development team to address and resolve functional system delivery issues.
• Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and executives.

Quality Assurance:

• Understand the project lifecycle and implement solutions to perform sanity and business test verifications, ensuring quality.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
• Manage change requests throughout the project lifecycle.

Knowledge Sharing:

• Share technical and business knowledge gained through project work with team members and contribute to continuous improvement.

Other Responsibilities:

• Participate in proposal creation and RFP responses as required.
• Be involved in presentations and solution demonstrations to clients in Japan.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 15 years of strong project management experience in IT, with a proven track record in delivering projects.
• Comprehensive understanding of SDLC processes and documentation.
• Understanding and experience in AWS/cloud migration projects.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to establish relationships, influence outcomes, and deliver effectively.
• Fluency in both Japanese and English (reading, writing, and speaking).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience executing digital transformation and migration projects.
• Experience in the financial domain, card companies, or shopping portfolios.

Langauge skills: Fluent Japanese Level(JLPT N1) and Business Level English
