Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
- Technical Project Management: - Develop an overall strategy for system integration, verification, and validation (V&V), including planning and cost estimation, and complete the process (obtaining approval from system PM and management). - Manage the system validation subproject team and provide timely V&V reports summarizing test results in SIL/HIL/actual vehicle environments . - Develop and execute validation strategies that meet camera and radar-specific performance requirements (detection accuracy, stability, Euro NCAP standards, etc.). - Manage system test leads and system integration test leads. - Set up a functional safety-compliant test environment and manage its development and delivery. - Manage the validation budget. - Manage test progress according to schedule, meet customer deadlines, and identify and share delay risks early.
- Working within the Team: - Work closely with the project management team to manage schedule, deliverables, cost, and quality with a consistent policy . Based on FMEA, consider and propose appropriate verification and validation methods for camera/radar-specific failures (sensor obstruction, detection failures, false detections, etc.) - Collaborate with other project TPMs (Technical Project Managers) to evaluate change requests from inside and outside the company and flexibly review the validation plan and costs
- Reporting: - Report the overall progress of system validation and performance KPIs to the system project manager - Communicate with customers regarding system validation to agree on performance KPIs, explain test policies, and plan and conduct joint tests - If issues such as insufficient test personnel/equipment, budget constraints, or schedule delays arise, organize countermeasures and promptly escalate them to management
Job Qualification:
- Extensive validation experience in the automotive industry (3 years or more)
- Experience in the development of camera products or ADAS-related products
- Experience in the development of ADAS, driver monitoring systems (DMS), and occupant monitoring systems (OMS)
- Deep knowledge of in-vehicle sensing technology (cameras and/or radar sensors)
- Knowledge of the fundamental principles of image processing, computer vision, or radar signal processing and verification and validation methods for perceptual systems
- Knowledge of embedded systems, software architecture, and system integration
- "Deep thinking" to deeply understand complex issues and stakeholder expectations
- Experience in management (planning, progress management, and priority-based control)
- Deep knowledge of automotive process models (e.g., Automotive SPICE?) (especially verification and validation process areas: SYS.4, SYS.5)
- Experience in risk management and risk-based testing
- Knowledge of automotive standards and regulations related to in-vehicle sensing (e.g., Euro NCAP, GTR)
Language proficiency: Business Level Japanese (JLPT N2) and Business Level english.
